Salih Emphasizes the Need of International and Regional Cooperation to Alleviate Tensions in The Region

President Barham Salih stressed on Thursday, the importance of developing the relations with France and the European Union through concluded understandings, while stressing the need for international and regional cooperation to reduce regional tensions.
 
The Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received, today, Thursday, at al-Salam Palace in Baghdad, the French Ambassador to Iraq, Bruno Aubert, as both sides discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, ways to develop them in various fields and the importance and the depth of the growing Iraqi-French relations, as well as the issues of the region.
 
Salih emphasized the importance of developing relations with France and the European Union through the concluded understandings and ways to strengthen them in various sectors, and continuing the international effort to combat terrorism, noting that the region needs dialogue and convergence to defuse the crises.
 
He also confirmed the need for international and regional cooperation to alleviate tensions, achieve stability, and strengthen economic and cultural ties.
