The Ministry of Health announced today, Sunday, the arrival of the largest batch of the Pfizer and Sinopharm vaccines, while indicating that the shipment will be distributed to all vaccination outlets in Baghdad and all governorates, including the Kurdistan region .
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "new doses of the vaccine against the emerging corona virus arrived today at a rate of two million doses," noting that "the quantities received are the highest quantities received within one day."
While the General Company for Marketing Medicines and Medical Supplies indicated that "the vaccines received today are produced by the American company Pfizer and the Chinese company Sinopharm, both of which are approved by the World Health Organization."
The ministry explained that "the shipment will be distributed to all vaccination outlets in Baghdad, all governorates, the Kurdistan region, the displaced, the Ministry of Defense, the Interior, and the Popular Mobilization Authority," stressing that "all vaccines are safe, effective, and of solid global origins."
