The Holy Karbala Police Command announced today, Friday the installation of smart surveillance cameras in more than 100 locations, while confirming that they will enable the leadership to detect crimes and identify the faces of wanted persons.
The director of media for the Karbala Police Command, Brigadier General Alaa Al-Ghanimi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The completion of the surveillance camera system will help the security forces to detect and reduce crimes and deal with information at a record speed."
He added, "The camera systems were deployed in 103 locations, including 600 advanced cameras from international origins with high-quality technology that entered Iraq for the first time, which will secure long distances and can identify the faces of wanted persons and suspicious wheel plates according to a security database and provide human effort."
He continued, "A number of cameras were installed in the external controls to enable the security force to perform its duties effortlessly by linking them to the operations command center, to monitor and deal with any event, especially in the million visits."
