The Counter-Terrorism Service confirmed adopting new strategy to neutralize terrorists, pointing out that great efforts had been exerted in terms of enhancing the intelligence capabilities, despite the limited resources.
Spokesman of CTS Sabah al-Numan stated to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that the intelligence effort of the Counter-Terrorism Service is effective at this stage thorough pursue and prosecute the remnants of terrorist gangs and thwarting any attack they try to carry out.
al-Numan also mentioned that ISIS is now depend on guerrilla warfare through small members , to try to weaken the security forces on the one hand, and to obtain media gain on the other hand.
In a related issue, al-Numan added that CTS is an intelligence security service, works according to intelligence information in coordination with other security forces, revealing a strategy prepared by the Counter-Terrorism Service for the next five years includes many programs and plans to pursue ISIS remnants.
