The Counter-Terrorism Service revealed on Monday the details of thwarting the terrorist plot south of Baghdad.
CTS chief commander, Lieutenant-General Abdul-Wahhab Al-Saadi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that the terrorist plot was thwarted by arresting a terrorist was intending to target citizens in a center of the capital, who in turn admitted the presence of a stockpile of equipment containing weapons, ammunition, explosive devices, combat equipment and silencers.
Foiling the terrorist plot was based on intelligence information after a follow-up that lasted for days, Al-Saadi added.
