Culture Minister Hassan Nadhim and his Syrian counterpart, Muhammad Rami Martini, discussed today, Wednesday, the consolidation of tourism relations between the two countries.
The media office of the Ministry of Culture said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Hassan Nadhim, met today, the Syrian Minister of Tourism, Muhammad Rami Martini, on the sidelines of the Tourism Promotion Conference held in Riyadh."
He added that "the two sides agreed to increase the horizons of cultural cooperation between the two countries," noting that "the Syrian minister affirmed his desire to consolidate the bonds of relations between the two brotherly countries, especially in the religious tourism sector, and to benefit from the Iraqi experience in this field in the provinces of Karbala and Najaf in managing the holy shrines for the sake of Development of the Sayeda Zeinab area.
