Kurdistan Regional Health Ministry announced the arrival of a new dose of Corona vaccine, confirming that an international passport for the vaccine will be granted to the vaccinators.
"The Federal Ministry of Health continues to send vaccine packs against Corona virus, and that a new one has arrived today. The number of vaccine doses sent from the Federation reached 164,300 doses of vaccine," said the KRG Minister of Health Saman Barzanji, in a press conference attended by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He added that "the number of vaccinated citizens in the region has reached one hundred thousand citizens," noting that "every citizen who will take the vaccine doses will be provided with an international passport for the vaccine (electronic identity) provided with a QR code that is used internationally and at all airports and competent authorities,"
Barzanji called on citizens to "electronically register to receive vaccine doses and obtain this international id,"
For his part, the representative of the World Health Organization in Iraq, Ahmed Zouiten, confirmed that "the Federal Ministry of Health received half a million doses of COVID-19 vaccine before Eid Al-Fitr, and as the organization continues to cooperate with the federal government in this field,"
