A spokesman for the Agency for International Development Cooperation in China, Tian Lin, said Friday: that his government will provide urgent humanitarian aid to Palestine as soon as possible.
"On May 20, the Chinese government launched an urgent humanitarian response mechanism to help the Palestinian government and the Palestinian people deal with the emergency humanitarian crisis, and show the spirit of international humanity," the spokesman added, in a statement posted on the agency’s website on WeChat .
It was emphasized in the statement that the Chinese side will provide emergency humanitarian aid as soon as possible, according to the needs of the Palestinian side, in order to help Palestine in providing medical assistance to the injured and affected and in the work of providing shelter to the refugees who have lost their homes.
The statement did not give any details about the nature of this Chinese humanitarian aid.
