In a breaking report, Italian Football Federation president Gabriele Gravina has threatened a complete removal from Serie A if Juventus does not fully and completely withdraw from the European Super League like the English clubs did the other week.
This is important for a few reasons. First of all, Juventus is still a European “super power” that is an experiencing a rare bad season sitting fifth in Serie A and fighting for their European life. Secondly, this is the biggest standoff to date between a major European federation and a team and frankly, Juventus might just consider it if they fail to make the Champions League next year.
So, there ultimately may be a few different ways this plays out but it is worth keeping an eye on as there are a few other squads that have yet to withdraw from the European Super League like Real Madrid and Barcelona.
