The Iraqi Central Tennis Federation announced the establishment of the Iraq Championship for Candidates to select the national team players in preparation for participating in the Davis World Cup .

The financial secretary of the Iraqi Tennis Federation, Muhammad Fadil Alwan, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Sunday, that "the tournament will be held in Baghdad during the month of June to choose the optimal formation to participate in the Davis Cup, which is like the Tennis World Cup, which it is hoped to be held in principle."
