National Security Adviser Qassim Al-Araji confirmed on Wednesday, that the withdrawal of combat forces helps stabilizing Iraq, while noting that there has been no increase in the number of foreign forces.
Al-Araji and the Chief of Staff of NATO, Admiral Joachim Rühle and his accompanying delegation discussed the joint cooperation between Iraq and the NATO mission to achieve security and stability in Iraq and the region, according to a statement by the media office of the National Security Adviser, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"The withdrawal of foreign combat forces from Iraq helps to stabilize and enhance its security," added Al-Araji, noting that "there is no increase in the number of foreign forces in Iraq,"
