President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received today, Tuesday, a message of condolence from Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, for the tragedy of the Ibn al-Khatib Hospital fire in Baghdad.
A statement issued by the Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic, which the Iraqi News Agency (INA) received a copy of, stated that "the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received a cable of condolence from Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, for the tragedy of the Ibn al-Khatib Hospital fire in Baghdad, which killed dozens of citizens."
The statement added, "The Syrian president offered the president of the republic, and through him to the Iraqi people, his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy, asking the Almighty to bless the victims with the mercy , to inspire their families with patience and to protect Iraq and its people from all harm and harm."
