The Kurdistan Region expressed, today, Sunday, its readiness to receive the injured in the Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital accident, while calling on the concerned authorities to uncover the causes of the accident and hold all negligent accountable.
The president of the region, Nechirvan Barzani, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "We were all shaken by the painful and shocking fire incident that occurred last night at Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital for Corona patients in Baghdad, which resulted in the death and injury of dozens of people."
He added, "I offer my heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and all the Iraqi people, sympathize with them and share their grief, and I pray to God Almighty to bless the souls of the victims with His mercy and compassion and to bless the wounded with a speedy recovery."
He continued, "The Kurdistan region is fully prepared to provide all assistance, and its hospitals are fully prepared to receive the injured in the accident and provide the necessary medical care to them."
