The Security Media Cell announced, today, Thursday, the destruction of 8 hideouts of ISIS terrorist gangs in the Hamrin Mountains.
A statement by the cell received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, are clear in pursuing the remaining elements of the terrorist ISIS gangs, as the Joint Operations Command is working to coordinate security and intelligence work to pursue the remnants of the terrorist ISIS gangs in various sectors, including in areas with a complex geographical nature."
He added, "The joint security and intelligence work between the intelligence agencies and departments has played a major role in destroying terrorist hideouts and tracking down their members.
Through accurate information from the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, the Military Intelligence Directorate, and the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security, in coordination with the targeting cell in the Joint Operations Command, the brave air hawks carried out air strikes using Szna Caravan aircraft, targeting 8 hideouts of the defeated ISIS terrorist gangs in the Hamrin Mountains within the Kirkuk Operations Command sector."
He continued, "All the targeted hideouts used by ISIS terrorist squads as shelters, transportation and storage areas for weapons and ammunition were destroyed," indicating that "the heroic security forces are working with great care to maintain pressure on terrorism wherever it is."
