The spokesman for the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool, announced today, Thursday, that the air force and Iraqi cadres were able to repair idle aircraft and restore them to service in record time.
In a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Rasoul said, "The increasing interest and unlimited support by the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and the Minister of Defense for the Air Force - enabled its engineers and technical staff to return the idle aircraft to service."
He added, "The rehabilitation and repair of other old and idle aircraft was done by 100% Iraqi hands and in record time.
The Minister of Defense and senior security leaders had participated in the central celebration organized by the Air Force Command on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of its establishment at Balad Air Force Base.
