A Spanish study revealed, after the end of the Corona epidemic, a second pandemic may strike the world, but it may be more deadly than Covid-19.
The study was prepared by the Barcelona Institute for Global Health, which confirmed that "the mental health problems caused by the Covid-19 pandemic will become the next pandemic."
The authors of the investigation said during the presentation of the report: "The mental health of people was violated at the same time by multiple mechanisms, and urgent action is needed in this regard."
They stated that "the global economic costs associated with mental health problems have risen to one trillion US dollars annually, and 85 percent of people with mental disorders have been unable to receive treatment in poor and middle-income countries, which has caused an unprecedented global crisis."
They explained, "The Covid-19 pandemic has affected people's health, as well as their personal goals, the dynamics of their families, their role at work and their economic stability."
Other factors that have deepened this crisis include adjusting family roles, domestic violence, isolation, loneliness, grief due to loss of family or friends, general anxiety, occupational burnout, and post-traumatic stress.
