Ministry of Health – MOH announced on Monday that “there is a great demand for citizens to receive Corona vaccines”.
"The total number of vaccinated people has reached more than 103 thousand recipients of the vaccine," said Ruba Falah Hasan, a member of the media medical team of the Ministry of Health to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
She noted that this indicates the extent of awareness of the Iraqi citizen on the need to take the vaccine and “ignore malicious rumors".
"The vaccines that came to Iraq and will arrive in the coming weeks are all safe and effective for human use. It is approved by the World Health Organization - WHO, and has proven effective," she added.
Hasan emphasized that "MOH has not recorded any severe or dangerous complications or symptoms until this moment, whether via Chinese vaccine Sinopharma or Astrazhnica,"
"There are scientific studies approved by WHO that have proven the greater the period between the two doses, the more effective the vaccine will be to build immunity, with the need to adhere to preventive measures between the two doses and even after the second dose until the numbers are significantly reduced and community immunity is reached," Hasan explained.
