Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Bashir Khalil Al-Haddad, confirmed today, Thursday, the importance of monitoring the implementation of the provisions of the Federal Budget Law for 2021 after its approval in the House of Representatives.
The media office of the Deputy Speaker of Parliament said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Haddad praised the exceptional efforts of the national political forces and parliamentary blocs all in passing the draft federal budget bill for 2021 in yesterday's session."
Al-Haddad highly valued the great efforts of the Finance Committee and its continuous coordination with the government, praising the role of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s delegation and its meetings with national forces and parties and holding a series of meetings with the Finance Committee to reach convergence of views and agreement on Article 11 related to the region’s share and settlement of dues.
Al-Haddad noted, according to the statement, that "approving the budget was not easy, but the council finally succeeded in voting on it after great efforts from all parties, and we must now follow up and monitor the proper implementation of its provisions, and the General Budget Law is the most important law related to the country's interests and stability, and the rights of citizens in all governorates Iraq is paving the way for comprehensive development, and its approval is a positive step towards enhancing market stability and raising the standard of living for the poor classes. "
He expressed his hope that "this would be an impetus for solidarity work towards recovering from the era of challenges, overcoming economic and health crises, consolidating the foundations of social justice in the country, and resolving the outstanding issues and issues between Baghdad and Erbil."
