Commander of West Nineveh Operations, Major General Jabbar Al-Taie, confirmed, today, Thursday, that the security agreement in Sinjar is in full swing, pointing out that the leadership is awaiting orders to implement the subsequent steps of the agreement.
Al-Taie told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "no armed clashes did not take place in the Sinjar district," indicating that "no incident occurred in the district 10 days ago, and the security situation is stable."
He added that "there is an army, local police and national security presence in Sinjar," pointing out that "the security agreement was directly implemented on January 12, 2020 and is still in full swing, and we are awaiting orders from the state to implement the steps that follow the agreement."
Regarding Nineveh, he stressed that "Nineveh Governorate needs a lot of services because of the destruction and devastation it was subjected to during the control of ISIS terrorist gangs," pointing out that "the process of returning the displaced is still continuing and there are facilities for that."
