The ministry stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “the Undersecretary for Legal Affairs and Multilateral Relationships, Qahtan Al-Janabi, signed this morning, tuesday 3/30/2021, a record of receiving the remains of an Iraqi soldier who had been found on Bubiyan Island earlier. ".
The Ministry added, "The report was signed by the Kuwaiti side, Chairman of the Committee for Prisoners and Missing Persons, Rabih Al-Adasani, in the presence of the Iraqi ambassador and a number of embassy employees, as the ceremony for the collection of the remains took place at Kuwait International Airport, and under the supervision of the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the remains will be transported by military plane to Iraq. ".
