The Security Media Cell announced today, Tuesday, that it had found six missile launchers north of Kirkuk, while indicating that the security services are still investigating the details of the incident.
The cell said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "A force from the 8th Infantry Division of the Iraqi army found six iron platforms in the Nabi Oah( prophet Oah)area, below Mount Okasha in northern Kirkuk. Last night, it was used by an outlaw group to launch six type missiles. Kurds towards the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
" added that "the rockets landed in an empty area on the border between Erbil and Kirkuk, without any casualties," noting that "the security services are still investigating the details of this incident to find the perpetrators and refer them to the judiciary."
