The National Security Agency announced today, Thursday, the seizure of more than two million counterfeit and smuggled medicine boxes in Al-Harithiya district in Baghdad.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the National Security stated that “based on information received from citizens via the hotline (131), the detachments of the National Security Agency intensified their field tours in conjunction with an inspection detachment of the Al-Karkh Health Department, and the tour resulted in the seizure of approximately ( 2 million and 250 thousand) fraudulent and smuggled medicinal boxes in storehouses for drug trade in Al-Harithiya district in Baghdad, after obtaining judicial approvals.
He added, "Two hair transplant centers that do not have official licenses to practice the profession have been closed, and unlicensed anesthetics and treatments have been seized within them."
