MOP: New directions for the reconstruction of the border strip

The Ministry of Planning announced today Thursday, new directives for the reconstruction of the border strip to achieve spatial development and the development of urban and rural settlements located within this strip.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the ministry's spokesperson, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, said, "The Minister of Planning, Khaled Battal Najm, approved the study prepared by the Department of Regional and Local Development, which includes defining the procedures and steps required to achieve the border strip reconstruction plan, through re The creation of the districts and sub-districts that were canceled in the governorates of Basra, Maysan, Wasit and Diyala, indicating that “the ministry called on the aforementioned governorates to provide them with the requirements of the creation, for the purpose of studying them in accordance with the approved planning standards, among which are the fundamentalist approvals by all the relevant authorities, attached with the maps and profiles of the administrative units To be developed, as well as a feasibility study that includes the requirements and purpose of the development.
