Cabinet spokesman Hassan Nadhim confirmed today, Tuesday, that Minister of Health Hassan Al-Tamimi confirmed the completion of procedures for obtaining 20 million doses of the Corona vaccine.
"The criminal attempt at the Imams Bridge is trying to undermine the symbolism of the occasion of the martyrdom of Imam Al-Kadhim (PBUH)," Nadhim said during the weekly press conference attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He added, "Al-Kadhimiya and Adhamiya will remain one hand facing terrorism."
Regarding the Pope’s visit, Nadhim commented, saying: “Pope Francis reassured the world that Iraq is important,” noting that “the Iraqis sent a message to the world that they are competent for love and peace.”
He continued, "Prime Minister Mustafa Al- Nadhim called on the ministers to invest the Pope's visit in development," explaining that "the Pope's visit could turn into a development project in all sectors."
And he added, "Al- Nadhim recommended that the ministers visit the provinces on the ground, while the Ministry of Trade recommended working to strengthen the ration card."
Regarding the health aspect, Nadhim assured that "the Minister of Health presented disturbing reports about the epidemiological situation in Iraq," indicating that "Corona injuries are on the rise and everyone should shoulder their responsibilities."
He continued, "We want to encourage citizens to register on the online platform to take the Corona vaccine," noting that "the Minister of Health confirmed the completion of procedures for obtaining 20 million doses of the Corona vaccine."
