The ministry said in a statement published on the official website of the Iranian government, and followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The discussions between the Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs, Hussein Zulfiqari, and the advisor to the Iraqi Interior Minister, Abdul Halim Fahim Al-Farhoud, resulted in reaching agreements on security cooperation in various fields."
Zulfiqari stressed, according to the statement, "Iran has important cooperation with Iraqi officials in various sectors, including at the level of the Ministry of the Interior."
An agreement for cooperation in the field of security and internal security will be signed between Iraq and Iran.
