Foreign Minister meets with Jan Kubic

Foreign Minister Mohammad Ali al-Hakim the representative of the UN Secretary-General in Iraq, Jan Kubic received a farewell on the occasion of the end of his duties in Iraq.

Hakim hailed the contribution of Mr. Annan and the United Nations to support Iraq in all areas especially in support of the displaced and support projects for women and children, the ministry's press office said in a statement.

The Iraqi government continues to cooperate with the UNAMI mission, In his new international missions. For his part, Kubic expressed thanks to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of cooperation and coordination with UNAMI and the continued support of the United Nations to Iraq in all areas.
