Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Agriculture announced a plan to increase cultivated areas in order to increase agricultural products, while confirming that tightening control over border crossings will encourage farmers and manufacturing industries to increase production.
The ministry’s spokesman, Hamid Al-Nayef, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The ministry has devised a plan to increase cultivated lands, in order to increase production in quantity and quality,” indicating that “the ministry has reached the production of 21 agricultural and animal materials, and we have achieved self-sufficiency with them, preventing Importing them in all the country's border ports. "
He added, "The agricultural sector is rising at an increasing rate of progress, and this has been proven during the outbreak of Corona, when all agricultural and animal crops were provided at reasonable prices."
