Spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool, announced the arrest of two Daesh leaders in the southern of Kirkuk.
“According to the orders of the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, a special force from Counter-Terrorism Service carried out a sudden operation based on the effort of Intelligence," said Rasool, in a statement received by Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He explained, "The operation resulted in the killing of two terrorist leaders of Daesh gangs while they were trying to flee, and the arrest of two others in Daquq district, south of Kirkuk,"
"Another special force carried out a duty that resulted in the arrest of two dangerous elements of Daesh gangs in Karma district, northeast of Fallujah," he added.
