Defense Minister Jumaa Anad confirmed today, Thursday, the development of arms contracts concluded with the French side.
Inad said during the joint press conference held with French Defense Minister Florence Parly upon her arrival in Baghdad, attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The visit of the French Defense Minister comes within the framework of developing security and military cooperation."
He added, "We will work to develop contracts concluded with the French side on advanced weapons."
For her part, the French Defense Minister affirmed that "her visit aims to strengthen relations between Baghdad and Paris in all fields, especially the military field," expressing her country's readiness to continue training programs for Iraqi forces to enhance armament capabilities, confrontation and solidarity to eliminate terrorism.
