President of the Republic Barham Salih affirmed the region’s need for mutual understanding to find solutions to crises and establish regional security.
A statement by the Presidency of the Republic received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) today, Sunday, that "President of the Republic Barham Salih, during his reception at the Baghdad Palace, discussed the Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Jawad Zarif, and his accompanying delegation, the latest political developments at the regional and international levels and ways to enhance peace opportunities And stability.
Salih stressed the depth of historical ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the necessity to expand the horizons of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in all fields, stressing Iraq’s keenness to be a factor of stability and a center for convergence of common interests of the countries of the region and to establish peace and regional security.
The President of the Republic pointed out that the region needs to build balanced relations, mutual understanding, coordination and a clear vision to reach radical solutions to crises and tensions through reliance on constructive and frank dialogue between all international parties.
