The Border Ports Authority revealed today, Saturday, that the Trebil border port had achieved a financial revenue of more than 24 billion dinars during the month of June.
The Authority said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "despite the zeroing of the customs duties for food, health and agricultural materials, the Trebil border port in Anbar Governorate achieved a financial revenue for the state treasury in the amount of (24,942,881,000) Iraqi dinars for the month of June for the year 2020 for the value of customs revenues and the tax due as a result of the movement of trade exchange at the border crossing. "
BPA also added that "what has been achieved from the increase in revenues as a result of the tightening of control and auditing procedures and joint cooperation between the departments operating in the border port, and the strategy of the organization directed to maximize the revenue supporting the state treasury to overcome the current financial and economic crisis that our dear country is going through."
