Today, Thursday, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Hazem Al-Jumaili, revealed the details of Iraq’s communication with AstraZeneca regarding the Corona vaccine.
Al-Jumaili told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "most countries in the world started to book quantities of the vaccine, until its studies are completed," noting that "this vaccine is now in the final stage of approval for the company."
He added that "the company, due to the great need, has begun to produce the vaccine and is awaiting the last study, if successful, it will be distributed directly."
He continued that "Iraq communicated with the company through its regional representative and its representative in the region, and it was agreed on a mechanism for the purpose of reserving a quantity so that its provision to Iraq would be similar to the rest of the world."
