Iraq participates in the hypothetical extraordinary conference of ISESCO

     The Iraqi Ministry of Culture participated in the hypothetical extraordinary conference of culture ministers in the member states of the Islamic World Organization for Education, Science and Culture (ISESCO), which was titled "Sustainability of Cultural Action in Confronting Crises (COVID-19)", with the participation of 50 countries and 22 international organizations.

     A statement of the Ministry of Culture, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Hassan Nazim price has been during his conference, the initiative to hold the conference, and the promising future prospects by the Islamic Organization for virtual cultural work to confront the Corona pandemic within its project  Digital Cultural Strategist.

     He added that "the pandemic has caused a crisis with serious implications in the fields of culture, arts, heritage and tourism, not to mention the stoppage of the phase of completing the reconstruction of our liberated cities in cooperation with sisterly Arab countries, and international initiatives such as (reviving the spirit of Mosul) with UNESCO."

     Nazim pointed to a number of Iraqi cultural initiatives that were implemented during the pandemic period, such as the (the pen does not wear a mask), and the (Stay at Home) initiative, in addition to allocating parts of the hotels in which the ministry has a stake, as quarantine sites as part of ways to confront the pandemic.
