Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhemi invited the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to visit the capital, Baghdad.
PM Al- Kadhemi received a phone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during which he congratulated Al- Kadhemi on his assumption of the government, stressing Turkey’s readiness to support Iraq politically, security and economically, and that he looks forward to visit Baghdad as soon as possible to discuss ways to strengthen the relationship within the framework of bilateral agreements and mutual respects for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two countries, included a statement issued by Al- Kadhemi’s media office.
For his part, Al- Kadhemi thanked the Turkish President for the congratulations, and stressed that "Iraq looks forward to build stronger partnership relations with the neighboring Turkey, on the basis of mutual trust and respect."
"It will be a pleasure to receive you in Baghdad and exchange visits in a manner that contributes to taking practical steps to enhance bilateral relations," Al- Kadhemi said.
