The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan revealed that five files will be discussed by the Kurdistan Alliance with the Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kadhmi.
A member of the House of Representatives for the National Union, Shirvan Mirza, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Tuesday, that "there are five files that the Kurdistan Alliance can discuss with the Prime Minister-designate" - pointing out that "these files are the region's share in the general budget," And peshmerga dues, management of the disputed territories, peasants' dues, and the oil and gas portfolio. "
He added that "it excludes the region from obtaining 17% of the public budget before conducting the census," noting that "the region does not require that its share be 17% or 12.67%, but rather it must be in accordance with the needs and entitlements of the region of funds."
And that "there has not yet been any formal meeting between the Kurdish and Al-Kadhmi blocs, except for the meeting of the Minister of Finance to offer congratulations on the occasion of the assignment."
For his part, the KDP affirmed that the region’s conditions regarding supporting the federal government are not impossible.
A member of the party, Dana Al-Katib, stated in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the conditions of the Kurdistan region to support the new federal government are not incapable, but rather are rights established by the Iraqi constitution and represented in the financial dues, salaries and oil policy."
