Baghdad - INA
The representative of the Prime Minister's Office, Major General Mohamed Fadel, affirmed the absence of the need for the international coalition in the Nineveh-Salah al-Din-Anbar sector, after the ISIS terrorist gangs were defeated.
Fadel said to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Sunday, that "Iraqi sovereignty has become in the sector (Nineveh - Salah al-Din - Anbar) 100%, after the Iraqi army received the base (K1) from the international coalition."
He added that "the international coalition occupied the base after the terrorist entry of Daesh to the governorates of Nineveh, Anbar and Salah al-Din, and now all cities have been liberated and the need in this sector has been eliminated."
He pointed out that the international coalition has provided support to our forces in the field of air and intelligence support, "noting that the Iraqi army’s pieces will be present at the K1 base and will carry out operations against Daesh terrorist cells in coordination with the intelligence services."
