Paraguayan authorities announced that the former Brazilian star Ronaldinho and his brother Roberto are under investigation, on charges of entering the country with false passports.
"The police raided the hotel, which holds the player who won the Ballon d'Or in 2005, in the capital Asuncion, where he is promoting a book, and found a false passport made in the Paraguayan capital a few months ago," said Paraguayan Interior Minister Ocledes Acevedo.
"The police are also investigating the responsibility of the authorities for allowing them to enter the country with false documents," the minister added. And the Brazilian court denied Ronaldinho his passport at the end of 2018, for not paying a fine of $ 2.5 million against the backdrop of building a wharf without permission on the edge of a lake in a protected area, according to local media.
