US Official to al-Halboosi: US respect the role of Supreme Religious Authority in Iraq

    INA – BAGHDAD

    Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi met the Assistant US Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, David Schenker, and discussed the importance of forming a strong government with a clear vision and capable of meeting the aspirations of the Iraqi people.

    The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, the continuous cooperation to support Iraq in the war against terrorism, defeat Daesh remnants, and achieve stability.
