President Barham Salih discussed with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan the importance of the international community support for the stability of Iraq in addition to preserving its security and sovereignty.
This came during a phone call between Salih received and Erdogan where they also discussed the necessity of strengthening bilateral relations, in the interest of the two friendly people, according to a statement by the Presidential Media Office.
The two focused on the political and security developments on the Arab and regional arenas in addition to coordination and joint cooperation between Iraq and Turkey to consolidate peace and security in the region, and find solutions to the crises as well as, a constructive and serious dialogue between all parties.
Salih expressed his condolences to the Turkish president for the earthquake that resulted in losses of number of Turkish citizens, showing his sympathy and solidarity with the families of the victims.
