Iranian Foreign Ministry welcomes the new government headed by Allawi

The Foreign Ministry announced that it welcomes the appointment of Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi to head the new government. "We welcome the appointment of Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi to head the new government in support of the independence and sovereignty of Iraq," the Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister-designate pledged to work diligently to hold early elections and confine arms to the state, as he pledged to commit to providing job opportunities for citizens, fighting corruption and dissolving economic committees and forming an advisory team in the Prime Minister’s office.
