Five sports clubs announced today, Saturday, their withdrawal from the Iraqi Premier League competitions.
The Iraqi News Agency correspondent said: "The clubs Al-Karkh, Zakho, Al-Diwaniya, Al-Qasim and Al-Samawah announced their withdrawal from the Premier League," noting that "fifteen clubs announced their participation in the league competition."He added that "the competitions committee in the Football Association held a meeting in the presence of 19 representatives of the excellent clubs in the absence of the representative of Al-Zawra Club," noting that "the combined clubs have tended towards the agreement to establish a football league in the Kurdistan Region by the system of groups."
The reporter emphasized that "the league clubs voted for the qualification of two clubs from each group to the second stage," noting that "it was voted that the 6 qualified clubs will play a one-stage league to determine the champion." And he stated, "The location of the league's final stage of stay was postponed until further notice."
