Transportation announces upon three new garages

    INA – BAGHDAD

    Ministry of Transport announced that it will begin constructing three projects in Mosul, Najaf and Nasiriyah.

    "The ministry has completed Al-Nahda station to transport travellers from Baghdad to the northern and southern governorates. It is a large architectural monument in central Baghdad, in which all services are provided to travellers and owners of vehicles," said the Minister of Transport, Abdullah Laibi to Iraqi News Agency – INA.

    He added that the ministry has overcome the financial obstacles that delayed the accomplishment of this edifice, which was due to financial hardship as a result of the war against Daesh terrorist groups.

    Laibi noted that the ministry approved financing the project itself, through the revenues of the Public Company for the Management of Private Transport."

    "The ministry will start constructing three new projects, which are transportation stations - garages - in the cities of Mosul, Najaf and Nasiriyah," he added, "financing Mosul and Najaf projects will be from the public budget, while Nasiriyah project will be funded from the revenues of the private transport management company,"
