The highest religious authority stresses respect for Iraqi sovereignty

Today, Monday, Supreme Religious Authority Ali al-Sistani condemned the attack on Iraqi fighters in the city of Al-Qaim, stressing the need to respect Iraqi sovereignty and not to violate it.

A statement issued by the office of Al-Sistani  received by the Iraqi News Agency said; The Supreme Religious Authority condemns the sinful attack that targeted a group of fighters in the official Iraqi forces in the city of Al-Qaim and led to the death and injury of a large number of them.

He stressed the need to respect Iraqi sovereignty and not to violate it under the pretext of responding to unlawful practices by some parties, indicating that only the official Iraqi authorities are concerned with dealing with those practices and taking measures to prevent them, and they are called upon to do so and to work not to make Iraq a platform for settling regional accounts Internationalism and the interference of others in his internal affairs.
