National Security Council held an urgent meeting headed by the PM and the Commander in Chief of Armed Forces Adel Abdul Mahdi to discuss the sad updates of the protest.
The protests resulted in the death of few and other injuries between innocent citizens and security forces.
The council asserted the freedom of protesting and expression as well as the legal demands of the protesters and at the same time the council condemned the subversive activities.
During the meeting, the attendees asserted to take the required regulations in order to protect the citizens and public relations as well as highlighting the main duties of the security forces departments.
They also explained that all government efforts must be dedicated for the legal demands of the protesters.
