Minister of Agriculture discusses with Russian Ambassador Joint cooperation and exchange of experiences

Agriculture Minister Salih al-Hassani discussed with Russian Ambassador Maxim Maximon the joint cooperation in the agricultural field between the two countries.

According to a ministry statement received by the Iraqi News Agency that Al-Hassani stressed during the meeting the importance of continued cooperation between Iraq and the Russian Federation in all areas, including the agricultural sector and find ways to develop agricultural activity through increasing the volume of exchange of expertise and information in line with the plans and strategy of the Ministry Agriculture to advance the development of this vital sector.

Hassani added that the Ministry of Agriculture hopes to increase agricultural cooperation between Iraq and Russia in the field of strategic crops seeds, including wheat crop and conduct joint experiments to produce short-lived seeds lead to increase production in quantity and quality and appropriate to the Iraqi environment.
