Planning Minister Nuri Sabah al-Dulaimi, on Friday, an official invitation to the General Assembly of the Arab Authority for accreditation to host its next semi-annual meeting in Baghdad.
Dulaimi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency that this call comes in the framework of the government and the Ministry of Planning to achieve the goals of sustainable development, pointing out that the accreditation system is one of the main pillars to achieve those goals.
The Ministry of Planning seeks to unify national and Arab efforts to support joint Arab action and achieve further cooperation in the field of improving, protecting and ensuring the quality of products according to international standards, in a way that contributes to consumer protection and encourages and widens intra-Arab trade.
We also welcomed the head of the Arab accreditation body, Amina Mohammed, the invitation of the Minister of Planning and support for the work of the Union by seeking to provide the appropriate conditions for the work of the Iraqi Accreditation Commission, stressing that the General Assembly of the body will study Iraq's invitation to host semi-annual meetings in Baghdad and decide in the coming days.
