President Barham Salih received Pakistan’s ambassador to Iraq, Sajid Bilal, today’s Sunday in Baghdad.
Ambassador Bilal delivered a written message from Pakistani President Arif Alvi, which included a formal invitation for President Salih to visit Pakistan.
Salih warmly received the invitation and asked Ambassador Bilal to convey his greetings to President Alvi.
He stressed the important role that Pakistan plays in world affairs, and pledged to take President Alvi up on his kind invitation at his first opportunity.
Noting friendly relations between their two countries, Ambassador Bilal and President Salih also discussed a variety of opportunities to further develop the Iraqi-Pakistani bilateral relationship.
