Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi on Monday expressed his pride in the development of Iraqi-Russian relations.
He received the special envoy of the Russian president to Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev, and his accompanying delegation, which includes the deputy foreign minister and a number of officials in the ministries of defense and foreign affairs and the Russian charge d'affaires in Baghdad, his office said in a statement received by the ministry.
Discuss the relations between the two countries in the economic fields and strengthen the capabilities of Iraqi forces, developments in the situation in Syria and stability and preparations for the convening of the Astana conference, as well as the regional situation and the current crisis between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran Rania.
