Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali al-Hakim on Monday discussed with Putin's envoy political solutions to the region's crises.
The Iraqi Foreign Ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency that "Hakim received the envoy of Russian President Alexander Lavrentyev and discussed with him the Iraqi-Russian relations and ways of activating what was agreed at the meeting of the joint committee held in Baghdad."
"The two sides discussed efforts to push for political solutions to crises in the region, to consult on how to deal with various issues, and regional challenges that Iraq calls for sustainable solutions; to promote stability," the statement said.
