The communications Ministry announced today on Monday, a project linking ministries within the e-governance project applications. The proxy Senior Technical Communications Department, Ameer al-Bayati, said in a statement sent to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Ministry completed a project linking all ministries at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to secure intergovernmental network used forgovernment applications, and is currently working to complete connecting all Governmental institutions in Baghdad and the provinces to ensure quick and safe data traffic between government agencies.
The Ministry placed its priorities further development of infrastructure for communications and information technology sector depending on the latest global technologies and linking with global marine cables, plus wild cables connectivity through border ports.’’
"The Ministry has optical cable network, plus micro links that represent a data transfer solutions, particularly in areas that are hard to extend the optical cable, and the implementation of a number of optical access networks projects the FTTH which offers a range of integrated services Citizens.
Bayati mentioned that the fixed wireless Internet project was completed with LTE technology to deliver government services through 87 mind broadcast across Iraq, including in Baghdad and station 30 57 provincial station, work continues to erect new plants in the liberated provinces.
